Short but sweet...

Won't be long because this is from my phone but I want to remember it. We stopped in Knoxville for lunch. A drive-thru Chick-fil-A. Who knew? Anyway...the young man taking our order was THE . HAPPIEST . PERSON I have come across in a long, long time. Even for Chick-fil-A, this kid was literally like ordering from the sun. I said,"Boy, I need whatever you had for breakfast!" He smiled (even more, if possible) and again, I said, "What do you eat for breakfast?"

He said, "I start each day with a little thanks to God."

Well rock on, Caleb...rock on.

  5. Awwww, nice story.

I LOVE Chick-Fil-A. The closest one to us is almost an hour drive, but gosh darn, we do it! And occasionally on a Sunday... because we ALWAYS forget that ALL Chick-Fil-A's are closed on Sundays.

  6. That's awesome! We don't have Chick-Fil-As up here, so I've never been.

  7. We just got some free standing Chic-Fil-a's in this area of FL a few years ago. The boy you encountered at the drive thru window is a great testimony to their vision. Read Truett Cathey's book sometime it's good. I have personal friends that are houseparents for the Cathey's program called Winshape. It helps sponsor college students and foster kids. We are moving soon to TN and I can't wait to meet people like that Caleb!

  10. I hope the link below will work, but in case it does not you can google Tim Hawkins and the Chik-fil-a song. It is a hoot. Truly makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it.

Thank God for Caleb...and Chik-fil-a. It is a great company and we have three drive-thrus around town so I should know! LOL. Seriously though, the most polite and truly happy people work there and I don't think that is an accident. Just wish they would start to use organic chicken and then it would be perfect :).

Have a waffle fry and sweet tea for me. :)

  12. Aww.. how sweet! Chik Fil A workers always seem to be the happiest and most polite :).

And you know the Chik Fil A along 235 in California has a drive-thru, right? Because if you have lived her for so many years and haven't used it I say SHAME! ;)

I have been thinking of you this weekend and hope you and John are enjoying yourself.
