Video efforts revisited...

***UPDATED---Apparently, on Youtube, I have to make it viewable to the world in order to have it viewed here. I actually think it is kind of funny that I have no problem sharing the intimate details of in vitro (among other things) but didn't want the world to be able to see this video, just people who make it to this blog. I'm a nut. In any event, it's viewable now, so it SHOULD be working. Then again...I've typed that before.***

Well, what a PAIN IN THE BOTTOM this morning has been. I took Maria's advice and went the Youtube route. (This is what Blogger suggested I do as well, so good on you, Maria!) After 2 HOURS of uploading a blipping minute and a half video, trying to follow the directions that did NOT necessarily work, I *think* I may have Helen-Kellered myself into getting a video to work. We'll see. According to 'preview', it worked, but I'm just going to hold my breath until I play it after I've published. Ahh...technology. Actually, I love it, but it sure can be frustrating sometimes!

In any event, HOPEFULLY, here's my boy!

  1. Lori, I have been following you for a little while but don't think I ever posted. Just wanted to say CONGRATS on your little boy as well as making it past halfway! He looks so adorable already.

Hope your back feels better so you can enjoy every minute of your pregnancy.

  2. Ok, I tried to watch it and it told me it was a private video, but maybe I'm not doing something right because I'm not video savvy either.

  3. I can't play the video either - getting the same response as Mom to 2 Angels. Maybe you have a privacy setting on your YouTube account that's not allowing the video to be seen by the public.

  6. Ok, so as soon as I turned on the video, the song "Toot Sweets" from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang started. I was thinking, "SO WEIRD!!! I just downloaded that today!!!" I thought it was such a funny choice, since you're having a boy. Then I realized it was my own itunes going (we were listening to the soundtrack, but I thought I had turned it off). How werid that THAT song came on right as your video started. And what a perfect song!! HAHAHA!! Love it!

  7. I could only see parts of the video, but I heard and saw enough to get the emotion! I love it!

I also wanted to mention to you that there is a fabulous photographer in Southern MD that I used for the girls while I lived there ...she is so good that I am planning on coming back up for her to take pictures this fall. Her name is Stacey Bahr and she is a mom who started her own photography business. I think we might have been one of her first few clients. We miss her!!

Her website is www.staceybahrphotography.com and she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Next to you of course :)!! She does maternity photography and also offers packages for the "1st year" pictures. I cherrish the pictures she took of our girls. If you contact her please tell her we said hello!!

Oh, and you just might recognize Rebecca in some of her galleries. :)

  8. Lori,

I am one of your followers and also I disapointed person who wanted to adopt from Kyrg. I loved this video. I hope this isn't too personal, but I loved the fact that you rejoiced your son while also acknowledging the girl from Kryg that might have been. I have a pink nursery too. Thank you for sharing. I cannot tell you how much I loved it and I much it meant to me.
