Tomorrow....

So, honestly, it hasn't really hit me yet. Don't think it will until he's actually born. And I hear him. And hold him.

What DOES hit me is the last time I left my house to go to the hospital believing I'd be bringing my baby son home, it broke my heart.

The last time I bought chocolate for the nurses, they loved it...but remembered me for something so, so, so different than I wanted.

The last time I packed a diaper bag for a newborn, it went unused and stared at me for months as insult to injury.

The last time I believed it was going to be ok, I was so wrong.

So...I'm excited, yes! I'm nervous, yes! I can't wait, no!

But I'm apprehensive and just praying...and so, so, so overwhelmed with gratitude for the many, many prayers and good thoughts and wishes. Please, please know how much they have given me a peace I just didn't expect I'd have.

If you would like to be updated with a text or on FB, please send me an email with infor or add as a friend on FB...we are updating our lists as I type! We'll update the blog too...but I think more info will be on texts or FB because those are easier for John.

Prayerful, grateful and hopeful

  4. Praying and praying for you and your boys. I think we will all breathe more easily with you when you hold that healthy little boy in your arms. There have been few things lately that warm my heart more than the arrival of my dear friends' rainbow babies.

I'll be stalking you on FB tomorrow. :)

  7. Oh, dear friend... I desperately hope that your night and morning are peaceful...but I know that peaceful seems almost insurmountable right now. I am SOOO glad that Jenna came the night before our scheduled induction, and in terms of distraction, I am so glad that I worked until 3 hours before she was born. I am pretty sure that had we needed to wait for induction, I would not have slept at all the night before...for all of the reasons that you outlined here.

Much love to you, John, Luke and Matthew.

  8. Going to send a friend request...otherwise I'll go crazy waiting for the blog post. FYI, I'm fine with un-friending after tomorrow. I understand if there's information on your account that you don't want available to strangers. Or if you only allow limited profile access to those you don't know in real life. But I appreciate your offer to your readers to join you on Facebook!
